We Love Indiana Winters?

Although I can't imagine living anywhere without all 4 seasons to enjoy, I have to admit that I am pretty much done with winter. Luckily we missed the ice storm in December due to vacation, but now we've had our 3rd snow day this month and will have to make it up in June. What's the point? Students are completely done with learning by Mid May anway. Maybe I'll close my eyes and transport myself back to beautiful Siesta Key. Want to come?

Blake's amazing Jazz Concert

Blake had a Jazz concert the other night at Memorial Park Middle School. It was amazing! I am always surprised to hear how good they are. This is the beginning Jazz band at his school. It's called the Anyday but Friday. His band director is nationally acclaimed for her work and has been featured in many magazines. I really didn't give him much of a choice as to whether he would be in Jazz band or not. What a great opportunity to learn from the best. Luckily he enjoys it and we reap the rewards of great concerts.

Afternoon at the Theatre

My sister-in-law, Katie, and I went to the Civic Theatre for their production of The Glass Menagerie. It was a nice change from the ordinary, everyday Saturday chores. I was surprised by how packed the theatre was. We had great seats and had a great afternoon. I'm so glad my brother married such a nice girl!
